The winning Powerball numbers were 1, 17, 35, 49, 54 and Powerball 34.

Expect longer than usual lines at New York lottery stations Wednesday, with the Powerball jackpot hitting $425 million.

Typically, more tickets are sold when jackpots reach $300 million or more, lottery experts say.

No one matched all six numbers in Saturday's Powerball drawing -- 2, 9, 14, 21, 23 and the Powerball 3.

Nine tickets nationwide matched five numbers in Saturday's drawing, missing the Powerball. Each of those tickets, including one sold in Manhattan, are worth $1 million apiece.

A winner Wednesday choosing the lump-sum option would get a payoff of $227.8 million, before taxes, according to the Powerball website.

The $425-million jackpot is a far cry from the largest lottery prize in the United States -- $656 million in the March 30, 2012, Mega Millions drawing.
