Long Island Lutheran’s Boogie Brozoski and North Babylon’s Brianna Jones have survived three rounds of cuts at the USA Women's Basketball U16 Team Trials, and remain in contention to make the final 12-player roster that will represent the U.S. at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships in Cancun, Mexico from June 19-23.

The USA Basketbal Women's Development Committee hosted 132 elite high school girls basketball players at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., Thursday, and after a series of drills and scrimmages on Friday and Saturday have narrowed the field to 43 players, which includes Brozoski and Jones.

Brozoski and Jones were two of 100 athletes who applied and were accepted to tryout for the team, joining the 32 other athletes who were invited to tryout by the Development Committee. Only 12 applicant athletes remain in the field while 31 of the 32 invited athletes are still on the team trial roster.

The final roster will be announced Monday.
