No. 5 Lynbrook rallied from a 43-29 halftime deficit, outscoring No. 4 North Shore 23-9 in the third quarter to tie the game, and pulled ahead in the final three minutes to squeak by the Vikings, 69-68, in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal.

Lynbrook trailed the entire game – by as much as 16 right before halftime – but took the lead with 4:40 left. Freshman Jen Fay scored 12 of her career-high 31 points in the third quarter and grabbed 16 rebounds and Brooke Gerstman added 21 points for Lynbrook.

Amanda Johansen led North Shore (16-3) with 23 points and Erin Sheerin added 15. Johansen converted on two 3-point plays in the final 2:01 to pull the Vikings to within one.

Lynbrook (15-4) plays No. 1 Division in the semifinals Tuesday at Freeport, game time is TBA. Division defeated Lynbrook in the finals last year.
