I read the article on Long Island MacArthur Airport ["Demand puts pressure on airports, Editorial, Feb. 3]. How nice it would be if they could lure airlines to fly there, or have the current airlines increase their flights.

But what about parking? We fly from that airport occasionally and often are without a parking space, especially at holiday periods. Taxi service from our home is not cheap. Will Islip become another LaGuardia, with no place to park or with fees out of this world?

Yes, MacArthur airport needs to generate revenue and passenger traffic, but the parking is not adequate.
