Massapequa woman celebrates 102nd birthday with White Castle honor
Massapequa’s Madeleine Turpan celebrated her 102nd birthday Thursday at the White Castle across the street from her home.
She definitely knows the way there.
For her commitment to eating fast food only from that burger chain, White Castle inducted her as the oldest member of the “Craver Hall of Fame” as part of her birthday celebration. Her nephew, Eugene Nifenecker, says Turpan credits her longevity to a glass of wine at dinner every night and “eating at the Castle, the White Castle.”
