Madison McCoy, Suffolk Scholar Artist for September

Madison McCoy is a vocalist, pianist, and percussionist in Centereach High School’s music department.

She participates in Wind Ensemble, Select Vocal Ensemble, Jazz Choir, and is the student director of Women’s Choir.

Madisonhas performed in All-County Festivals as a vocalist over her school career and has been selected as an Alternate Soprano for the 2013 NYSSMA All-State Music Festival.

She has been cast in Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Hello Dolly (Minnie Fay), and Bye Bye Birdie. Madison was also featured as Kay Banks in the drama production of Father of the Bride. This past summer she participated in Boston University’s Summer Theatre Institute Pre-College Program.

Madison has also been involved with the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the French Honor Society.

She plans to attend college in the fall to pursue a career in musical theatre.
