MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester United has been knocked out of the FA Cup after losing 1-0 at home to third-tier club Leeds.

Jermaine Beckford scored in the 19th minute on Sunday as the League One leaders became the first club since Bournemouth in 1984 to beat Man United in the third round. United had never been knocked out this early under Alex Ferguson, who took over in 1986.

United holds the record of 11 FA Cup triumphs and has won the trophy five times under Ferguson.

It was Leeds' first win at Old Trafford since 1981.
