CATCH-UP ENCORES Current faves bring us up-to-date on their people and plots, some just before starting new seasons. Among the catch-ups stacked up Sunday: "Torchwood: Miracle Day" (6 a.m.- 3:15 p.m., again 3:15 p.m.-12:15 a.m., Starz Edge), "The Lying Game" (9 a.m.-7 p.m., ABC Family; new season Monday at 9 p.m.), "Treme" (9:30 a.m.- 8:30 p.m., HBO Signature), "Shameless" (noon-midnight, Showtime; new season Jan. 8), "Hell on Wheels" (3-10 p.m., AMC; new episode 10 p.m.), and "Once Upon a Time" (4-6 p.m., 7-11 p.m., ABC/7; new episodes return Jan. 8).

REALITY Can't wait for more with Snooki's crew? Watch previous outings of "Jersey Shore" (1:05 a.m. today-7 p.m. tomorrow, MTV) before the show returns Thursday from Seaside Heights. "The Dog Whisperer" (Sunday noon-3 a.m., NatGeo Wild) moves to its new channel in preparation for its season premiere next Saturday. "Undercover Boss" (Sunday 3-9 p.m., OWN), returns on CBS Jan. 15.

WESTERNS Cowboy series fans hit the jackpot this weekend, with Encore Westerns' three 24-hour showcases of oaters from the 1950s and '60s -- "Laredo" (continuing through 8 a.m. tomorrow), Clint Eastwood's "Rawhide" (Sunday 8 a.m.-Monday 8 a.m.), and the rarely seen half-hour episodes from James Arness' early years as "Marshal Dillon" (Monday 8 a.m.-Tuesday 8 a.m.). Then all three shows join Encore Westerns' daily afternoon lineup.
