I'm writing in regard to the article "New focus on teen driving" [News, March 8]. As a teen driver, I don't think it is fair to place more restrictions on us. Not every teenage driver is irresponsible, and we go through enough to obtain our licenses in the first place.

I follow all the rules when it comes to the road. I don't text, I pay attention to everything around me, and I certainly never drink. I don't think it's fair for someone like me to have more restrictions.

The call for restrictions proves that parents and officials don't trust the future generations. It isn't OK to take this, one of the first responsible moments, away from us.
