As part of a unit on social media, the enrichment students of Maria Regina School in Seaford have joined a social network called Shelfari. This network is a place where people can go to review, discuss, and share opinions about books.   The students joined the network under the direction of Mrs. Donna DiGiovanna, the school's Technology Coordinator, and Mrs. Mary Ann Farmer, the school's Librarian and Enrichment Instructor.

Since the project launched in January, the group has connected with students from other schools in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, as well as schools in Singapore and Thailand. The students created profile pictures, called avitars, using Kid Pix Deluxe software.  Pictured above are some of the Enrichment students connecting with Shelfari.
