Farmingdale Marines are looking for enough good toys to fill a truck.

A seven-ton military vehicle is scheduled to be parked at the Constantino Brumidi Lodge/Sons of Italy Hall, 2075 Deer Park Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday; neighbors are invited to donate toys, which will be distributed to Suffolk County children.

Said event organizer Anthony N. Macaluso Jr., a Sons of Italy member from Deer Park, “The Marines come down with a dozen guys, bring Hummers and a truck. Last year, we collected over 1,200 toys, and we filled it . We want to make this year bigger and better.”

Snacks will be served, and Deer Park High School seniors will supervise children who wish to write letters to armed forces personnel stationed overseas
.
