Mario Chalmers, Chris Bosh push Heat streak to 18
The Miami Heat won its 18th straight game last night, easily beating the Indiana Pacers, 105-91, behind 26 points from Mario Chalmers, 24 from Chris Bosh and 23 from Dwyane Wade. "That's the thing about our team," Chalmers said. "We can click on all cylinders."
The 18-game streak ties the seventh longest in NBA history and is the league's best since the Boston Celtics won 19 straight during the 2008-09 season. The win also gave Miami (47-14) a victory over every NBA team this season.
The Heat controlled the game despite a season-low 13 points from LeBron James. David West scored 17 of his 24 points in the first half for the Pacers, who fell a half-game behind the second-place Knicks in the Eastern Conference.
Thunder 91, Celtics 79:Kevin Durant had 23 points and 10 rebounds and Russell Westbrook scored 15 points as the host Thunder stretched its winning streak to five games. Boston shot 25 percent in the second half after shooting 51 percent in the first. Paul Pierce had 20 points for the Celtics.
Lakers 90, Bulls 81: Dwight Howard scored 16 points and grabbed 21 rebounds and Kobe Bryant chipped in with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for host Los Angeles. The Lakers (33-31) moved two games over .500 for the first time this season.
Clippers 129, Pistons 97: Blake Griffin led seven players in double figures with 22 points. Chris Paul had 20 points and 14 assists.
Magic 99, 76ers 91: Jameer Nelson had 24 points and 10 assists and Nik Vucevic added 14 points and 17 rebounds for host Orlando. Former Hills West star Tobias Harris added 15 points.
Raptors 100, Cavaliers 96: Amir Johnson's 17 points and 16 rebounds led host Toronto.
Mavericks 100, T-Wolves 77: Vince Carter had 22 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 16 for visiting Dallas. -- AP
