Same-sex couples interested in tying the knot can attend two free seminars on preparing for marriage in New York State.

The Long Island GLBT Community Center in Bay Shore is hosting a question-and-answer session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday called “Preparing to Get Married: Next Steps and What You Need to Know,” featuring North Hempstead Town Clerk Leslie Gross and Glen Cove attorney David L. Mejias of Mejias Milgrim & Alvarado P.C.

The event will be at the center’s facility, 34 Park Ave.

On July 14, Vishnick McGovern Milizio Llp, a Lake Success law firm, will hold an information session on tax implications, rights and estate planning for those contemplating same-sex marriages. It is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Melville Marriott.
