Mary-Liz O’Neill is an extraordinary vocalist in the Huntington School District’s music program. In addition to participating in the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Concert Band, she has represented the district in NYSSMA All-State and SCMEA All-County Festivals. In June of 2010, she was selected for the inaugural National Honors Mixed Chorus sponsored by the National Association for Music Education.
Mary-Liz also demonstrates her leadership skills as the student director of the Acapella Choir and an officer for the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Her talent has taken her to the halls of Juilliard where she is a third-year student in the pre-college program. She studies vocal performance, opera, diction, music theory, ear training and piano. She has also studied in France, at the Academie Internationale d’Ete de Nice for the past two summers. In 2010, she won Second Place in the National High School Classical Singer competition.
Mary-Liz plans to pursue a degree in Vocal Performance and Opera Studies at a music conservatory.
