The Mastic Beach Property Owners Association has scheduled a Crabcake Dinner & Raffle Drawing on Sept. 9 to benefit a local girl who suffers from severe aplastic anemia.

The raffle will benefit Nora Getchell, 6, of Mastic Beach, who has been diagnosed with the condition in which the body’s bone marrow doesn’t produce enough new blood cells.

The event will include drinks at 6 p.m. and dinner from 7 to 9 p.m., the association said in a statement. It will be held in the association’s clubhouse at 31 Neighborhood Rd. in Mastic Beach.

Winners of the “Nora Raffle” will be selected during the event, the association said. Raffle prizes include a kayak.

More information is available by calling 631-399-6111 or going to the association’s website, masticbeachpropertyownersassociation.org.
