McCutchen's two homers back A.J.
Andrew McCutchen hit a pair of two-run homers and A.J. Burnett pitched six solid innings to lead the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates to a 4-3 win over the Detroit Tigers Saturday.
A day after Detroit's Justin Verlander took a no-hitter into the ninth while shutting out the Pirates, McCutchen went deep twice off Tigers rookie Drew Smyly (1-1).
Red Sox 7, Phillies 5: David Ortiz homered, singled and drove in two runs as visiting Boston snapped Philadelphia's six-game winning streak. Mike Aviles, Will Middlebrooks and Jarrod Saltalamacchia also homered for Boston, which won for the seventh time in nine games.
Indians 2, Marlins 0: Jeanmar Gomez pitched three-hit ball into the seventh inning and Asdrubal Cabrera homered for host Cleveland.
Astros 6, Rangers 5: Justin Maxwell hit one of host Houston's three homers.
Orioles 6, Nationals 5: Adam Jones hit his 14th home run of the season and Nick Markakis added a two-run homer for visiting Baltimore.
Royals 7, Diamondbacks 3: Billy Butler and Mike Moustakas homered and Bruce Chen won his third straight start for host Kansas City.
White Sox 7, Cubs 4: John Danks pitched shutout ball into the seventh for his first win in nearly a month and Dayan Viciedo, A.J. Pierzynski and Adam Dunn homered for the visiting White Sox.
Giants 4, Athletics 0: Ryan Vogelsong allowed one hit in seven scoreless innings and played a key role in host San Francisco's rally.
Twins 5, Brewers 4: Trevor Plouffe hit a solo home run in the 11th inning for visiting Minnesota.
Mariners 10, Rockies 3: Jason Vargas threw seven strong innings and Kyle Seager homered and drove in three runs for visiting Seattle.
