The North and Central Merrick Civic Association is hosting a presentation of the maps that the Nassau County Redistricting Commission proposed for the legislature’s consideration.

The meeting will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the North Merrick Library, 1691 Meadowbrook Rd.

First Precinct police officers will report on recent criminal activity in the area, followed by updates on recent community issues, including school safety and a report on Legis. David Denenberg’s (D-Merrick) Disaster Response Taskforce.

The civic association covers all of Merrick north of Sunrise Highway to Jerusalem Avenue and from Meadowbrook Road to Bellmore Avenue, except areas covered by the Merrick Park Homeowners Association and Wenshaw Park Civic Association.
