In the past few months, Melissa McCarthy has taken her health into her own hands, and her hard work is paying off. She looked noticeably slimmer at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday.

McCarthy's weight loss first became apparent in November. At that time, Star magazine reported that she had lost 45 pounds thanks to a low-carb diet and lots of protein.

The "Mike & Molly" star is also designing a clothing line that will be available in the fall. McCarthy told Women's Wear Daily she started a line because she has been "every size on the planet. I have experience dressing me as a 6, a 12 and more. And when you go above a size 12, you don't lose your love of fashion."

Blue's birthday bash

Blue Ivy Carter turned 3 on Wednesday, and the hip-hop heiress of Beyoncé and Jay Z had a blowout bash thrown in her honor. Beyoncé shared a black-and-white snap from Blue's "Frozen"-themed birthday celebration to her Instagram account.

In the photo, an ice sculpture in the shape of a snowflake and etched with "Happy Birthday Blue" sits next to a bouquet of roses and a metallic "3" balloon.
