Memorial Day: What's open, what's closed

Monday is Memorial Day. Federal, state and local government offices, schools, banks and stock exchanges will be closed. Post offices are closed, too. There will be no regular mail collection or delivery except for Express Mail at automated postal centers and the Postal Store at Roosevelt Field, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The LIRR and Long Island Bus will operate on a Sunday schedule. Suffolk County Transit Bus will not be running. New York City buses and trains will run on a Sunday schedule.
