Mets to limit Harvey, Syndergaard down stretch

The Mets offered a clearer glimpse yesterday about how they intend to manage their talented stable of young pitchers as the season enters its final weeks.

Matt Harvey will likely have one more turn in the rotation skipped, according to manager Terry Collins, the latest step in an effort to manage his innings after Tommy John surgery.

Collins then confirmed that Steven Matz will start on Sunday against the Marlins in place of Noah Syndergaard, with Bartolo Colon slotted to pitch on regular rest on Saturday.
