Amar'e Stoudemire
(26.2 points/9.0 rebounds/2.3 blocks): An MVP-caliber season of which this franchise hasn't seen since Patrick Ewing in 1992-93. And now word is he's dating Ciara.
Grade: A+
Raymond Felton
(17.7 points/8.8 assists/1.8 steals): Is in the conversation as an All-Star reserve, though recent slide may cost him. Rugged floor general who plays through injuries.
Grade: A
Wilson Chandler
(17.2 points/6.3 rebounds/1.4 blocks): Ever-improving talent is so valuable in many ways, perhaps none more critical than as a key piece in acquiring Carmelo Anthony.
Grade: B+
Danilo Gallinari
(15.3 points): His performances have been as random as his hairstyles. One night, spiked up; another night, flat. Still waiting for him to prove he's a reliable No. 2 scorer.
Grade: B
Landry Fields
(9.9 points/7.3 rebounds/51.6% FG): Smart and deceptive talent who has played well beyond his status as a 39th overall pick, but now that the novelty has worn off, the bar has been raised.
Grade: A
Toney Douglas
(9.2 points/1.2 steals): Value is in his defense, which has been hampered because of shoulder injuries. Shooting, playmaking are an issue.
Grade: B-
Shawne Williams
(6.7 points/54.5% 3 PT): Cinderella Man of the first half who reclaimed his NBA career. Living off the corner three, but can he keep it up?
Grade: B
Ronny Turiaf
(4.7 points/1.24 blocks): When he has energy, an effective complement to Stoudemire at center. When not, he's a nice guy with a cool beard.
Grade: C+
Bill Walker
(4.6 points/41.9% 3 PT): Worked his way back into the rotation with opportunistic offense. Less effective when his minutes are cut.
Grade: C
Timofey Mozgov
(26 GP out of 42): Went from opening-night starter to buried on the bench by December. How do you say "project" in Russian?
Grade: C
Anthony Randolph
(27 DNP-CDs): Somewhere Don Nelson is saying, "I told you so." Somewhere else, Donnie Walsh is trying to get a first-round pick before anyone else catches on.
Grade: D
Andy Rautins
(3 GP): Looking forward to Carmelo trade because it means adding another Syracuse alum. And if it guts the roster, he might get to play.
Grade: INC
Roger Mason Jr.
(6.3% FG): Perhaps the biggest disappointment of the season. Came in with clutch shooter's rep, but seems to have left it in San Antonio.
Grade: D
Eddy Curry
($11.2M expiring salary): Might be the only player involved who is rooting for a Carmelo trade. Then Nuggets cannot play him because he's out of shape. End of an error.
Grade: F
Mike D'Antoni
(22 wins, sixth seed in East): To his credit, he's stuck to his principles this season, played small lineups and turned things around quickly after a 3-8 start. But it's still playoffs or bust.
Grade: B
Donnie Walsh
Didn't get LeBron but still did enough to get franchise on the right track and in position to acquire another star in Anthony. And got a new hip in the process.
Grade: B+
