Mitchell grabs spotlight with two-TD day
Adonai Mitchell had a good practice on Saturday, catching two touchdown passes from Geno Smith.
The two spent time in Florida working out privately. They flashed some chemistry on Saturday. One of Mitchell’s touchdown grabs was a roughly 30-yard pass from Smith.
“I think that shows that those two guys are starting to pick up a rhythm,” Aaron Glenn said. “That combination of those two guys is really starting to impress me. I want to continue to see that continue to grow.”
The Jets acquired Mitchell during last season from the Colts in the Sauce Gardner trade. They believe Mitchell will develop into the much-needed No. 2 receiver behind Garrett Wilson.
“Garrett is going to have a lot of attention,” Glenn said. “AD is going to have to win his one-on-one's, which he has all the ability in the world to be able to do that.”
