MLB to honor 9/11 once again
Major League Baseball will be commemorating the tragic events of September 11 on Friday.
Aside from a pregame tribute and moment of silence, all players will be wearing hats with an American flag patch on the side.
All proceeds from sales of these hats will go to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Pentagon Memorial and the Flight 93 Memorial.
Home ballparks will also feature "We Shall Not Forget" MLB woven ribbons to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that day.
