The Montauket Hotel is up for sale -- well, for those willing to shell out over $17 million on the property. This hotel and restaurant is on 1.3 acres on Firestone Road facing Fort Pond Bay in Montauk.
The property includes a two-story, 15-room hotel, a restaurant and bar, two cottages, a manager/owner four-bedroom home and a detached garage. This property has beach access and plenty of parking.
It is located in a "resort zone" in the Town of East Hampton.
The hotel not only has waterfront views but a mix of multi-occupancy and residential properties in the surrounding area, says John D’Agostino, associate broker for Martha Greene Real Estate LLC.
“It is [also] home to other iconic properties such as Duryea’s, Sunrise Guest House, and Mallard Guest House,” says D’Agostino.
Why is the Montauket up for sale?
“The family of proprietors have been in continuous operations since 1959 and they feel that it’s their time to pursue other interests,” says D’Agostino.
This seasonal hotel continues to take reservations.
