As of early Saturday evening, the MTA press office said there was no update about when negotiations might resume. Union officials couldn't be reached this afternoon for information on when they'd return to the bargaining table.

Kevin Sexton, vice president of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, said Saturday morning the unions and the MTA were "coordinating" when the next session would occur.

"It'll be sooner than later," Sexton said.
