My Turn: Yes, I need a cobbler
It was with interest that I read Act2's cover story, "Who needs a cobbler?" (Feb. 20).
There is a great cobbler named Mike at the corner of Islip Avenue and Moffit Boulevard in Islip.
Mike has been in town for years. My family calls him "Mike the Magician" because he can repair any shoes, boots or handbags to look like new.
My oldest son, who lives in California, even brought Mike a pair of shoes to be repaired, and, of course, he repaired them just fine.
Besides his great skills, he is a very nice and caring individual.
Islip needs a cobbler, and his name is Mike.
Thanks for an interesting
Act2.
