Mysterious signs pop up in Port Jeff area

So who in the world is Jamie Stevens?

Mysterious signs that say “We love Jamie Stevens” have been posted on telephone poles and trees in Port Jefferson, Mount Sinai and Miller Place. And residents are baffled as to why.

"I've seen it on East Main Street," said Port Jefferson resident Lynda Hoffmann. "I've been asking around, but no one knows."

According to local residents, the custom-made signs have been around for a few weeks.

"I have started noticing them weeks ago on North Country Road," said Karen Kearney, manager of the Port Jefferson Frigate, an ice cream shop on Main Street. "I just assumed it was some guy or family proclaiming their love."
