N. Hempstead hosts 'KidStock'

Children in North Hempstead will get their own family-friendly music and entertainment show Saturday afternoon at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington.

Dubbed “KidStock,” the program, from noon to 5 p.m., will feature emcee Roscoe Orman, better known as Gordon from "Sesame Street," and music ranging from folk to "kindie rock" and "kid hop."

Acts include the Broccoli Rob Show, Strummin’ and Drummin’, Secret Agent 23 Skiddoo and Brady Rymer and The Little Band That Could.

The park will open at 11:30 a.m., and there is a $5 parking fee. The rain date will be Sunday. Attendees should bring blankets or chairs.
