This summer’s series of weekly events for senior citizens at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington will kick off next Monday with a beach party.

The FunDay Monday activities, including entertainment, games and exercise, are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Aug. 29. Rain dates will be Thursdays.

Each Monday will feature a different theme, from a luau to pirates.

A free health education fair will be included during the Aug. 8 event, and a salute to the armed forces is planned for Aug. 29.

Parking is free. For information about free bus transportation, call 311 from within the town or 516-869-6311 from outside the town.
