N. Hempstead’s ‘Freezin’ for a Reason’
The Town of North Hempstead will hold its seventh annual Polar Plunge, also known as “Freezin’ for a Reason,” next Saturday at noon at North Hempstead Beach Park on West Shore Drive in Port Washington.
Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics New York. Plungers who raise at least $100 will receive an official sweatshirt. Participants can also create their own website so that friends, family and co-workers can donate online.
