More than 120 Long Island fire departments, including all 109 in Suffolk County, responded to last month’s massive brush fires in Manorville and Ridge.
Earlier this month, Newsday published a list of more than 1,400 firefighters and other personnel who helped battle the blaze, as a way to recognize their service.
The names on that list were supplied by 52 departments that sent their information to Newsday. The list appeared in the LI Life section on May 6.
Newsday would like to publish a second list of firefighters from the rest of the departments. Some already have sent their information, but many have not.
Departments who would like their personnel recognized should send a list of those who responded to the fires to michael.dobie@newsday.com.
Please send the information by June 1.
This second list will be published sometime in June.
