Nancy Pelosi snuck into the Hamptons Saturday to attend a very small, very private lunch in East Hampton for Rep. Tim Bishop (D-Southampton).

Among the 20 attendees, a famous rescue Maltese named Lucky and the woman at the end of his leash, animal advocate and TV personality Wendy Diamond. “It was the most beautiful house I have ever been in,” said Diamond.

Diamond is a regular on the “Today” Show and “Good Morning America,” has appeared on “The Apprentice” and was the on-air judge for CBS’s “Great American Dog.” Lucky can add the Speaker of the House to a long list of politicos and celebs who count him as a canine contact. Chase Crawford , Kathy Griffith, Paulina Porizkova, Kathy Griffin and Jaclyn Smith are just a few. Lucky recently hosted the White House Pet Correspondent’s Dinner, where the pooches of Tucker Carlson, Craig Newark, Buzz Aldrin and John McLaughlin got to sniff each other out.

“He’s the most politically connected dog there is,” says Diamond, whose most recent book, “It’s a Dog’s World,” was released by Random House in February
