Nassau hotline will be activated Friday morning

With about 6 inches of snow predicted to fall on Long Island between tonight and tomorrow, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will activate the county’s Non-Emergency Hotline beginning at 5 a.m. Friday.
Residents can call 888-684-4274 for assistance with any snow-related situations that are not life-threatening or emergencies. Any emergency call should be placed to 911.
“The lines of communication in Nassau County are open,” Mangano said, in a press release. “We want to ensure every resident is safe, and we are made aware of any situation that could create danger in the community.”
Mangano said residents should use the hotline if they have concerns about downed trees or plowing issues.
If any Nassau resident is in need of shelter, call the Nassau County Warm Bed Hotline at 1-866-WARM-BED.
“Residents are urged to use caution," said Mangano. "Our county workforce will be working hard to keep the streets safe, and you can help by keeping cars off the road.”
