Antonio Evangelista scored on a 2-yard run to cap an 86-yard drive with 4:54 left to give North Shore a four-point lead en route to a 42-31 win over Roosevelt in Nassau III football Saturday. Desmond Akpanoko kicked a 25-yard field goal with 11:02 left to give Roosevelt a 31-28 lead.

Evangelista's TD made it 35-31.

On its next possession, North Shore (5-3) scored the go-ahead points on a drive that featured an 8-yard pass from Ryan Aughavin to Peter Bodo on fourth-and-8 to bring North Shore to the Roosevelt 32-yard line.

Lawrence 36, Valley Stream North 7: Marquan Williams completed 10 of 16 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and he had eight carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lawrence (4-4).

Victor Mintz caught a 22-yard pass from Williams in the second quarter to put Lawrence ahead, 14-8, and Lawrence scored 21 unanswered points in the second half.

Bethpage 32, Lynbrook 14: Nick Carlino ran for 121 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, and Michael Carrello completed 5 of 8 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns to lead Bethpage (6-2). Jesse DeAngelis returned a kickoff 95 yards to give Bethpage an 18-7 lead in the second quarter.

Glen Cove 50, Division 19: David Bull ran for 112 yards and a touchdown on six carries to lead Glen Cove (6-2), which took a 20-13 lead in the first quarter after Will Beglin scored on an 11-yard touchdown run. The team led 36-13 in the third quarter.

Hewlett 31, South Side 7: Jordan Carlo ran for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries to lead Hewlett (3-5). Hewlett rushed for 401 yards.
