Nassau County police are investigating the home invasion Saturday night by armed men into the apartment of a Freeport man who they tied up.

According to police, shortly before 7 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, the victim was approached by three gun-toting men as he was entering his apartment.

Police said the suspects pushed the victim inside and one of the men struck him with a gun, causing cuts to his head, and tied him up in a bedroom.

A fourth suspect stood outside the apartment and after the robbery, the four men fled with unknown proceeds. The victim was treated at a hospital and released.

Police said there were three other family members in the apartment at the time but they were not injured.

The three suspects between the ages of 20 and 30 were described as having thin builds and the man who stood outside the door was described as 5 feet 3 inches tall.

Detectives asked anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
