Nassau Top 10

Manhasset moves into the top spot by beating Chaminade, and Wantagh is now No. 2 after taking down Garden City on Friday. Chaminade drops with the losses to Manhasset and somewhat of a surprise defeat to Yorktown at the Day of Heroes on Saturday at St. Anthony’s. Elsewhere, unbeaten Division enters the top 10 for the first time.
1. Manhasset (10-0): The Indians started their week by beating Chaminade, 7-6, in overtime on Tuesday. They ended it with a 9-5 win over Darien of Connecticut on Saturday behind six goals from Drew Belinsky. In between, they blanked Island Trees, 13-0, on Wednesday.
2. Wantagh (10-1): Yale-bound attackman Brandon Mangan scored four goals, including the winner with 2:07 left in the second overtime, in a 10-9 win over Garden City on Friday.
3. Garden City (7-2): Lost to Wantagh, 10-9, in double OT, beat Great Neck South and edged New Canaan, 5-4, on Monday.
4. Cold Spring Harbor (10-0): Beat Locust Valley and Clarke. Its biggest wins so far this season all by one goal: victories over South Side, Syosset, Hicksville and Huntington.
5. Chaminade (7-3): Lost in OT to Manhasset, but then lost to Yorktown on Saturday. Garden City and Ward Melville each beat Yorktown rather handily this season.
6. Farmingdale (7-2): Beat Hicksville, 6-5, and Massapequa, 12-7. The Dalers are the only team with an undefeated record in Conference I entering Tuesday’s game against Baldwin. Farmingdale also beat Wantagh this season.
7. Hicksville (7-2): Lost to Farmingdale, 6-5, on a goal with 36 second left and beat Oceanside, 10-8. They led 10-6 against Oceanside with 4:40 left.
8. Baldwin (9-1): Beat Port Washington, 17-11, and edged Oceanside, 12-11, on a Troy Dennis goal with five seconds left on a Max Malinowski feed.
9. Division (9-0): Corey Triola scored seven goals as Division beat Long Beach, 16-10, on Friday night.
10. Massapequa (7-3): Beat Syosset, 8-2, on Wednesday and lost to Farmingdale on Saturday. One of the six to eight teams in contention in Conference I.
On the bubble: South Side (5-5), Lynbrook (7-3), Oceanside (5-4), Friends Academy (8-2), Port Washington (6-3).
