When the temperature spiked last week, Nassau County OEM used its Twitter account to let citizens know where cooling stations were. When it comes to situations that could endanger the public, “We don’t always have a lot of time to disseminate that kind of information, so it’s very efficient for us,” said community services representative Raquel Wolf.
