FLORIDA / No-fly scare diverts plane

A Continental Airlines flight bound from New Jersey to Colombia was diverted to Florida on Friday because of security concerns about a passenger, but the person was cleared by the FBI and the flight resumed, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration said. "The plane landed without incident at approximately 5:45 p.m.," the TSA said in a statement. "The passenger was cleared by the FBI and the flight is continuing to Bogota." The incident marks the latest in a series of U.S. air security scares since a botched Dec. 25 bombing attempt aboard a Detroit-bound airliner.

Remains of lottery winner?

Human remains have been found near a home where investigators were searching for the body of a missing man who won millions of dollars in the lottery nearly four years ago, Florida sheriff's officials said. Abraham Shakespeare, a 43-year-old truck driver's assistant, has been missing since April - though he wasn't reported missing until November. He had won a $31-million lottery jackpot in 2006. The remains were found at a home owned by the boyfriend of Dorice Moore. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has previously called Moore a "person of interest," though she has not been charged. Judd has characterized the case as a homicide.Moore became something of a financial adviser, and property records showed that her company bought Shakespeare's house in January 2009.

MASSACHUSETTS / Trucker chokes, crashes

A lumber truck crashed into a Massachusetts home after the driver was knocked unconscious when he choked on chili from Wendy's, police said. Lowell police said Eric Gremm reported that he choked on the chili when the truck hit a bump, causing him to pass out. The flatbed truck veered off the road and slammed into the foundation of the home. The 59-year-old Tyngsboro resident was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police said he could be cited for eating while driving.
