Police say they've arrested five people in connection with stolen tree bark in eastern Kentucky.

WKYT-TV cites the Lewis County Sheriff's Office in reporting that more than 300 pounds of elm tree bark was taken from private property on Little Cabin Creek. The station reports the bark is sought after as a remedy to several ailments and can sell for as much as $300 a pound.

Three of those arrested face theft charges while the other two are accused of helping them.
