7-year-old boy gives 2,392 high fives at Bonnaroo

A 7-year-old boy reportedly beat the Guinness World Record for the most high fives in an hour at Bonnaroo, the music festival tweeted.

The boy, known as "Squish" on social media, gave 2,392 high fives in an hour to other festival-goers on Friday at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee, according to Mashable.  

"Our lil' buddy Squish just broke the [Guinness World Record] for most high fives in an hour," Bonnaroo's Twitter account posted Friday evening.  

The Guinness World Record for most high fives in an hour was 2,181, set by Ram Kadam and V Generation in India in 2012, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Squish stood on a pedestal so high fives from each of those who signed up would be over their heads as the rules require, Mashable reported.

The boy and his mom, Amy Spears, have been documenting their Bonnaroo experiences on social media for three years, according to Mashable.  

In 2013, the pair became Bonnaroo legends after they posted a video asking  festival organizers to add Norwegian artist Bernhoft, in exchange for Squish promising to shave his mom's head on stage. The boy also also jumped on stage with the pop rock band Haim at Bonnaroo that same year.

This isn't the first time world-record glory was chased at Bonnaroo.

Jonathan Sexton broke the record for the most hugs given in 24 hours with 8,709 at the 2010 festival.
