A Tiger Woods Q&A
Why has Woods refused to talk to authorities?
For four days, Woods has turned down repeated requests from the Florida Highway Patrol to discuss the crash, despite his assertion that it was simply a "single-car accident." Under Florida State law, Woods is not required to give police any information other than his driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance. Police have said he has done so.
What was Woods doing driving from
his home after 2 a.m. Friday?
Woods has not said where he was going. TMZ.com and the Orlando Sentinel reported that Woods was barefoot when he left the house. The National Enquirer reported that Woods and his wife "argued violently" before the accident and RadarOnline.com reported that Woods stormed off after arguing with his wife, who had just learned that Woods was having an affair.
How serious was the car accident?
Although Woods has blamed his injuries - mostly cuts and bruises to his face - on the crash, the air bags of Woods' Cadillac Escalade did not deploy, and his windshield was intact. However, the rear windows on the vehicle were smashed. Woods' wife has said she broke a window with a golf club trying to unlock the door. Woods said his wife "acted courageously" and that any other assertion "is absolutely false."
How valid are reports that Woods
is having an affair? The National Enquirer has reported Woods has been romantically linked with Manhattan party planner Rachel Uchitel. In a statement, Woods called rumors coming out of his accident "false, unfounded and malicious." Uchitel has denied an affair.
