WASHINGTON — In a story published August 25, 2023, about Mississippi runoff elections, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Tuesday’s runoff primary is limited only to voters who cast ballots in the Aug. 8 primary election. Voters who did not participate in the Aug. 8 primary may participate in the Aug. 29 primary in districts where no candidate received a majority of the vote. Voters who did cast ballots in the primary may only vote for the same party in the runoff as they did in the primary.
