Correction: Menendez-Bribery story

NEW YORK — In a story published June 6, 2024, about the corruption trial of U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, The Associated Press erroneously translated what Menendez said in Spanish as he left the courthouse. Menendez said, “Advocating for Hispanic rights is not a crime,” not “Advocating for human rights is not a crime.”
