Donald Trump: ‘Maybe we should boycott Starbucks’

He’s said he’ll make America great again, and build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Now Donald Trump is making a more seasonal promise: when he’s president, he’ll bring back “Merry Christmas.”
The Republican presidential front-runner had a new target in his sights Monday as he took on a global coffee chain that just made a much-publicized change to its holiday cups.
“Did you read about Starbucks? No more ‘Merry Christmas’ on Starbucks, no more,” Trump said at a rally in Springfield, Illinois as the crowd booed.
Trump said he doesn’t want what Starbucks is selling -- even if it goes against his economic self-interest.
“Hey look, I’m speaking against myself. I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower. Maybe we should boycott Starbucks, I don’t know. Seriously,” Trump said. “I don’t care. By the way, that’s the end of that lease, but who cares?”
After making that declaration about one of his tenants, the businessman delivered a crowd-pleasing line that would have fit in a Hollywood script.
The candidate said that “if I become president, we’re all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you. That I can tell you,” he said, giving a signature thumbs-up.
