First Boeing 787 buyer taking delivery at factory

The launch customer for the Boeing 787 is scheduled to fly away with the new plane on Tuesday from Paine Field, near the factory in Everett, Wash., where it was assembled.
All Nippon Airways signed delivery documents on Sunday, and Boeing is holding a delivery ceremony Monday. The airline plans to put the plane into service in November in Japan.
It's a long-awaited milestone for Boeing after three years of delays for the all-new model.
Boeing says a high-tech plastic fuselage makes the airplane lighter than planes it will replace, saving airlines fuel. It promises passengers more comfort with features such as bigger windows and larger luggage bins.
Boeing has orders for more than 800 of the long-range wide-body plane that will compete with the A350 Airbus plans to launch.
