HOUSTON — In a story published Jun. 25, 2024, about the bail hearing for one of the men accused of killing a 12-year-old Houston girl, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the other suspect, Franklin Jose Peña Ramos, illegally entered the U.S. in March, according to U.S. immigration officials. He was apprehended in May.
