Clarification: Hungary-Holocaust story

BUDAPEST, Hungary — In a story published Jan. 27, 2025, The Associated Press reported that 435,000 Hungarian Jews were deported to Auschwitz in Poland. The story should have made clear that Auschwitz was in Nazi-occupied Poland. The story also erroneously spelled Adolf Hitler’s first name as Adolph.
