RAFAH, Gaza Strip — In a story published December 7, 2023, about the war in Gaza, The Associated Press erroneously reported that 88 Israeli soldiers had been killed in the ground offensive. The military said at the time that 86 had been killed, and reported another death later on Thursday, for a total of 87.
