OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) — Police have arrested a man in a deadly east Alabama community college shooting after the man came up to reporters and said he was the person authorities were seeking.

Authorities say the shooting at Southern Union Community College in Opelika on Wednesday killed a 63-year-old woman, and wounded two women, ages 36 and 94. A 4-year-old hit with flying glass was being treated at a hospital.

Almost three hours later, a man got out of a white SUV and walked up to a group of reporters and photographers on campus and said he was the guy police were looking for.

Members of the media called 911 and police arrived within minutes, handcuffing him and taking him away.

The man appeared to be the same person in a photograph of the 34-year-old suspect.
