At a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on the Boston Marathon bombing, Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) said the former chairman of the committee, Peter King, "needs an apology from mainstream media. He was vilified and demonized for holding radicalization hearings, and we just saw radicalization of Muslim youth happen."

Yet King is far from ignored. Since the April 15 bombings, a Nexis search shows, King (R-Seaford) appeared more than 60 times on TV news shows -- repeatedly on CNN and Fox News, and on NBC's "Meet the Press" -- and was quoted in more than 200 stories in at least 85 newspapers and news websites (16 times in Newsday). Among those who didn't quote King: The New York Times, The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.-- Tom Brune
